I’ve been studying the Book of Esther this fall, and it’s been really fun to go through it from the this-ain’t-yo-Sunday-School -romance version of this amazing Bible story.  Last week we got to the part in the narrative where clueless Xerxes hands over full destruction of the Jews to evil Haman (Esther 3:5-11), the Jews received the news on their Passover (c.r. Esther 3:7, 12 and Leviticus 23), and all the Jews went into mourning (Esther 4:1-3). (more…)
